Tablet Tooling

CARBIDE DIE

Carbide dies, made from tungsten carbide, are known for their exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and durability. Unlike conventional steel dies, they deliver superior performance in high-volume production by with standing extreme pressure and maintaining precise dimensions. This makes them especially valuable for compressing abrasive and dificult materials, ensuring consistent tablet shapes and smooth finishes. 

STRESS RELIEF IN SMALL TIPS

• Designed for smaller tablets requiring high pressure

• Tips may bend under such conditions

• An intermediate diameter helps align stress lines and strengthen the punch

• Allows higher load application on the same tip size 

Through controlled heating and gradual cooling, stress relief enhances dimensional stability, improves fatigue resistance, and extends the service life of the part.

TYPES OF COATINGS

HCP - Hard Chrome Plating provides reliable wear and corrosion resistance, ensuring consistent tablet production. 

ENI - Electroless Nickel ensures excellent corrosion protection with a uniform, smooth finish for sensitive formulations. 

CrN - Chromium Nitride offers high hardness and a smooth surface, reducing sticking and extending tool life.  

DLC - Diamond-Like Carbon provides extreme hardness and anti-stickin

MULTI-TIP TOOLING

Multi-tip tooling is designed to increase productivity by compressing multiple tablets in a single press cycle. It helps manufacturers save time, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency without compromising tablet quality. This makes it an ideal solution for high volume tablet production in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. 

Mono Block Design

 A solid single-piece design that  ensures strength, rigidity, and precise alignment of  all tips. It minimizes wear and tear, reduces downtime,  and is well-suited for high-speed production. 

Cup Type Design

A modular design where tips are  fitted into a cup-like holder. This allows for easy  replacement of individual tips, lowering maintenance  costs and extending overall tooling life. It is especially  beneficial when dealing with frequent design changes  and high-wear applications. 

Effervescent Tablet Tooling

Effervescent tablet formulations are prone to sticking within the die cavity during compression.  To address this, our lower punches are equipped with a precision-engineered felt system that applies a controlled layer of food-grade oil, ensuring optimal die lubrication and preventing sticking or seizure within the turret. Additionally, a specialized plastic insert minimizes tablet adhesion to the punch surface. 

PUNCH CAVITY POLISHING KIT

The kit is designed to restore the original cavity finish of punch tips, ensuring accuracy and reliable tooling. It includes various brushes, pastes, and lubricants for different cavity needs. Polishing revives the finish without removing material, preventing common errors like:

DIE-PUNCH INSPECTION KIT

Over time, tooling may cause issues like weight variation, tablet hardness differences, powder seepage, or punch bending. This kit helps detect and prevent such problems by checking: Punch height uniformity, Punch tip-to-die clearance Punch tip concentricity, Cup depth, punch diameters, die Outer Diameter, die height & more reliable solution to maintain tooling accuracy and prevent costly breakdowns.

• Option to include Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for flexible operation.

ZERO HOLD UP FILTER PRESS

• Designed as per cGMP standards with SS 316/ SS 316L contact parts.

• Available in capacities ranging from 100 liters/hr to 20,000 liters/hr. 

• Equipped with a ring nut for easy dismantling and cleaning. 

• Filter press with pump mounted on a movable skid for convenience. 

• TC end connections provided for effortless cleaning.

MULTI MILL

• Compact cGMP-compliant design.
